Wood County Breastfeeding Coalition

Who We Are

The Wood County Breastfeeding Coalition was established in 1998.  The goal of the Wood County Breastfeeding Coalition is to promote, protect and support breastfeeding through education and outreach to our community.

The Wood County Breastfeeding Coalition serves as a resource for breastfeeding moms who have lactation concerns.   The coalition educates, advocates and provides support for moms through phone calls, office visits and home visits.

What We're Up To

This year, the breastfeeding coalition is focused on improving awareness for breastfeeding!  The team is working to finalize bylaws and a comprehensive plan for the team in the upcoming years.  In addition to planning our walk/runs and a breastfeeding reception dinner we have two awareness campaigns going on.

Our two campaigns include:

Breastfeeding billboards in Marshfield and Wisconsin Rapids
placed at varying locations throughout 2013!

Nursing Cover-ups and breastfeeding resources lists distributed to all interested
breastfeeding moms at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital and Riverview Hospital!
